About Sarah Lewis, Artist Behind Lewisart

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the natural world - especially water.  Whether it's the quiet stillness of the St. Lawrence River, the drama of ocean waves, or the way sunlight dances through mist, these moments inspire every brushstroke.

I'm Sarah Lewis, a Canadian oil painter based in in the 1000 Islands region of Ontario.  I hold an Honours degree in Fine Art from the University of Waterloo, and my work reflects over three decades of studying light, atmosphere, and movement in the landscape.  My paintings often focus on water - not just as a subject, but as a feeling:  fluid, reflective, alive.

Lewisart is my creative home and studio.  Through it, I share original oil paintings, prints, and commissions that celebrate the beauty and stillness of nature.  My work has been exhibited in galleries and public spaces, and I also offer commissioned pieces for collectors who want to capture a specific place or memory.
